Overview

The Lesson Plans below are intended for half term (5-7 weeks), materials will be provided as needed.

Explanation

Each Coding Club must start with a visual reference and an explanation of what you are creating. You will be connected to the whiteboard where you can show an example of the different levels. Have a few volunteers demonstrate to the class what you have shown them, then allow the kids to begin on their laptops.

Timing

  • 5 min enter class
take jackets off, sit down, do the register and eat snacks
  • 5 min explain lesson with examples and interaction (asking questions)
  • 40 min practical lesson
    Head over to www.tynker.com
    LOGIN
    Click My Classes
    Begin Programming 101 or 300
  • 10 min pack up
LOG OFF up, put jackets on, tuck chairs in, line up

*It is important that you leave the classroom as entered and ensure that the laptops are on charge when you leave*

Tynker.com

Tynker is a self led platform which allows students to learn how to code through fun challenges and games. Students and Teachers both have login details.

Students must login with their username and password which we will provide to you. Once students have logged in, they can simply begin their assigned lesson automatically. These challenges are self led which means that the children can get on with it on their own unless they have any questions or need help.

We highly encourage you to use the whiteboard, to demonstrate each level and challenge that the children will face.
